The study examined the occurrence of substance use among Asian single mothers (SMs) within the context of the wider U.S. adult population, differentiating by racial/ethnic background and sexual identity. The 2015-2020 National Survey on Drug Use and Health, a nationwide representative cross-sectional survey of non-institutionalized adults, supplied the data for the analysis that was conducted. Logistic regression models, adjusting for demographic attributes, were employed to quantify the probability of substance use.
